Great for peace of mind
Initially I thought the pants looked huge and unattractive size-wise (I'm a size 10-12), a bit like large bikini bottoms, but they were in fact comfortable and flexible which made me feel secure. I wore them when I was expecting my period to arrive which was very helpful as we were travelling and abroad at the time. However when I woke up one morning wearing them and there was blood sitting on the gusset, my immediate reaction was to take them off and rinse them (the blood had not yet been absorbed) and I then felt that they needed to go in the washing machine so I returned to tampons+pads for the rest of the day (I have 1-2 very heavy days each month). I wouldn't want to rinse under the tap then immediately put them back on?!? Perhaps now the pants have been washed, the blood will soak into the padded gusset more rapidly. I will try this next month! I think as added security on my heavy days, wearing these will definitely be a good thing so that I can relax and not worry about leaking. I think I would always use tampons at the same time when I am actively bleeding as don't like the sensation of bleeding into my underwear!
